California’s Dangerous Bridges

According to a new report by TRIP – a nonprofit transportation research group – 13 percent of the bridges in California’s more rural areas are “structurally deficient.” An additional 13 percent of California’s rural bridges are “functionally obsolete” according to this report.

TRIP identified 11,324 rural bridges in the state of California. Of those, 2,975 – just over a quarter – are in various states of disrepair and pose a significant risk to drivers. Sadly, there is little to no money budgeted for the maintenance and repair of these bridges, allowing them to continue posing risks for serious or fatal accidents for the foreseeable future.

When an unsound bridge exacerbates or causes an auto accident, you need an experienced attorney on your side to help ensure you are provided the compensation you deserve. California personal injury attorney Mickey Fine can review your claim free of charge to help you better understand your rights, your options, and the most effective way to get compensation for all of your damages.
